Kreuzberg is young, hip, and full of creative people from all over the globe. That’s why this trendy Berlin district is a favourite place for Ju Schnee, whose colourful mix of typography and illustration fits perfectly here. “After I moved, I spent the first few months in Kreuzberg, so I associate this location with a great deal of creativity and openness,” she says.

So when the idea about creating a mural in the area arose, it wasn’t difficult to persuade the designer. “I loved the idea, and for me, the themes of people and light were the central focus. How do we perceive it? How do we use it? And how do we talk about it? I wanted to interpret these concepts in line with my signature approach,” she explains.
